Pokemon GO Vietnam Release Date, SE Asia Getting Pokemon Soon?

If the western world is not enough, Pokemon GO has already made its entry into Asia. Eight Asian countries have already seen the launch of the popular game including India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Japan. As expected, the reception of the game beyond satisfied. Granted, server crashes and bugs can still be found in the system but the game is doing well.

That being said, there is still no news on the launch of Pokemon GO Vietnam. Why is the game being delayed in the country? No official word from John Hanke of Niantic labs has been made but he assures the public that the game will be launched in 200 countries worldwide.

Pokemon GO Vietnam: Possible Concerns?

As frustrating as this may seem to players, the delay of Pokemon GO Vietnam is not an uncommon occurrence. Pokemon GO has experience hurdles in other countries as it goes for a worldwide release. Indonesia in particular has been a problem. Pokemon GO has been the subject of concern of both security officials and religious figures. Police officers and military personnel are banned from playing the game on duty.

Islamic preachers on the other hand, denounce the game as inappropriate for Moslems. In other countries, the game is facing legal issues as players have been reported trespassing. Some even cite the game as a health concern as players become less aware of their surroundings. Is Pokemon GO Vietnam facing similar obstacles? It is unknown so far but it is likely given the track record in other countries.

Niantic Labs presses on

Nonetheless, Niantic labs presses on with the plan to release Pokemon GO World Wide within the coming months. Hanke assures players that he will clear all possible hurdles in order to make the game available in over 200 countries worldwide. For Pokemon GO Vietnam, it just takes a little patience.

For the rest of the world we do not know nor can we say for sure. But rest assured, Niantic labs is hard at work to make Pokemon GO the most successful Pokemon game to date. Will they deliver? The world definitely hopes so.
