Hurdles in House committee about Death Penalty bill

Breaking news – The proposed to reimpose the death penalty in the Philippines was now hurdled the house committee level on Wednesday,December 7.

Voting 12-6-1,the panel approved the committee report on house bill number 1,which seeks to reinstate capital punishment into all Heinous crimes, including drug traded cases.

HB 1 proposes 3 methods for death penalty , by hanging,firing squad and lethal injection.

The Philippines was the first in Asia country  abolish the death penalty under the 1987 constitution,but it was reimposed during the administration of President FVR to address the rising crime rate in the Philippines.

this capital punishment was ultimately abolished in 2006 under the presidency of  GMA Gloria macapagal Arroyo but now a pampanga  representative,arroyo was still in her proposition of abolished of death penalty.
